The CIIRSA English School was established in 2024, offering English LINC 1-5.
CIIRSA is proud to offer multilingual support, with staff, board members, and instructors collectively fluent in 12 languages in addition to English. All lessons can be translated to accommodate students’ needs, ensuring inclusivity and effective learning.
Our English language program is carefully curated, selecting the best curriculum elements from both the United States and Canada to provide an exceptional learning experience. We are committed to continuous improvement, regularly utilizing library resources to enhance and refine the program’s curriculum.
All CIIRSA instructors are highly qualified professionals, holding university degrees, certified in first aid, and thoroughly vetted through comprehensive background and vulnerable sector checks.

Mr. Augustine T. Marah – Instructor of CIIRSA English Class
Augustine T. Marah is a retired teacher currently working as an English ESL Instructor of CIIRSA. He has had a long career as a teacher spanning over four decades.
Mr. Marah started teaching in Elementary School on the 15th of January 1973. After a year and a half, he proceeded to undergo a four-year professional teacher training program at Milton Margai Teachers College in Freetown Sierra Leone from 1974 to 1978, (including one-year French Language Studies from 1976 to 1977 at the University of Dijon, in France).
Upon completing his Higher Teachers Certificate
issued by the Institute of Education (University of Sierra Leone), Mr. Marah went on to teach at Magburaka Secondary School for Boys (MSSB) from 1978 to 1980. At MSSB, Mr. Marah taught French and History.
In 1981, Marah came to Canada to pursue further studies and obtained a Bachelors Degree in French and Political Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He also obtained a Masters degree in French Literary Translation from the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Alberta. As a graduate student, Augustine Marah taught First Year University of French in the Department of Romance Language and at the Faculty of Extension at the U of A from 1983 to 1986.
Mr. Marah taught with the Edmonton Public School Board from 1986 to June 1990. From September 1990 to June 1995, Mr. Marah taught with the Edmonton Catholic School Board.
From 1995 to 2015, Mr. Marah opened and operated an Alberta Education Accredited private school called AIC Alberta International College. Meanwhile, Mr. Marah also taught English and French in three federal government departments in Ottawa between 2010 and 2012.
At 65 years of age, Mr. Marah retired in 2020 and kept himself busy writing until he became an English Instructor at CIIRSA in April 2024.

Wilson Daved – CIIRSA Executive Director
Wilson Daved has studied abroad and received a diploma in Commerce & Business in 1974, in Kirkuk Iraq.
Wilson currently resides in Edmonton. Since 1979 he has been the President of W.D. Contractors Group Ltd.
In June 1983, Wilson completed the Construction Administration Diploma at the University of Alberta (Edmonton).
He received the distinguished honor of being named in the National Register “Who’s Who” among the top Executives and Professionals from 1994 till the present.
Wilson has been married to Nelly Daved since 2011. They work hand in hand volunteering and contributing to their common goals.
In 2012, Wilson was nominated and won the RISE Awards in the category of Community Leadership. Wilson has dedicated his time to serve the immigrant and all ethnic communities.
Wilson has held the position of Executive Director with CIIRSA since 1992 to the present.
As CIIRSA’s Executive Director, for the past few years, Wilson has strived to put together the highest University Graduated Art Instructors and Advisors. With this qualified team, Wilson has assembled the CIIRSA Art Committee.
In the future, the Art School of CIIRSA will evolve and be established in all CIIRSA Branches in Canada. This will benefit our members and bring the skills of our students and graduates to the highest standards and beyond!
